Women in the struggle. LA CAN moved to it's new location in April 2009 on Main Street, we struggled forward and had the opportunity to stay on Main! We will not be moved! Spartucus, a fantastic artist and member painted a HUGE mural on four of our walls where we hold our Residential Organizing Committee meetings which is a powerful meeting where our community residents come to learn to remove the fear of fighting for our rights, our civil and human rights.The mural captures many of our chants that we use when we protest at City Hall, the Police Commission or wherever we may have to be to "Hear our Voices, Feel Our Power!" Spartucus is no longer in Los Angeles, he moved back to El Salvador to be with his family, he will be missed.
