Hands. The hands of the hard-working women and men who come to give everything they can to contribute to the economy of this great nation.
Text:
When I arrived in the city of Los Angeles, the first familiar job I found was in sewing.
My eyes didn’t believe when they saw those hands, working with such skill. They were moving at such a speed, one I had never imagined. And of course it has its reason for being that way here.
The price they pay for each section is so low that you must make each fraction as quickly as possible.
INCREDIBLE! And I thought that the country in which I happened to be born (no one chooses where to be born, nor in which social or economic scale…NO ONE!) does not have the slightest idea of the quality of human resources that it was losing and that it loses.
One concrete reality is that many of those who arrive here do not have a high level of education. NO, but they are human resources capable of learning quickly and they do. And they do it well!
Because of history our people only think about working, about satisfying the basic needs of living beings.
I know that human evolution has not finished, that it progresses very slowly and history will allow for the modification of human thought through collective work.
